H-Beams are now dirt cheap (SCAT around $540) so why not throw them in and you will have a strong rod for street/race & blown later on if you want.

Why not look at a 750 HP Holley instead of a quaddy. Damn good carb. They are cheap now as well. Come do

Holley won't "pass" VK emissions. I know the engine as described won't either, but with a QJet it looks like it does.

byron, i talked to a few people and one of them said that if i go wih early heads, then a HQ manifold, with the intake divider cut out, and the inlets match poted would be a great manifold with a quaddy.

What do you reckon? will it give enough torque o

As ive stated before - Street machine benchmarked the early (HT-HJ) valley against a torker and Performer. It performed better than the torker across the usable rev range for a 308, and was almost as good as a performer (only a few percent in it). The ear

as it just so happens, i rang the self serve wreckers to see what their prices were for short motors, and they gave me a quote of $1500 for a VN onwards 304. that is a joke! they actually told me last week that a short would be $200. I might have to chase

to me good economy is 12L/100kms.
BETTER economy is in comparison to a holley carb.
