No, I don't really mean how long a peice of string, but was wondering how long can Holden continue to manufacture the current shape Commodore. I mean HQ-HZ including the WB series Statesman was a long time with minor body changes between the years. VB-VL was around ten yrs, and VN till now is twenty yrs. I say VN to current model because the basic shape hasn't really changed.
What are they scared of?
People generally don't like change, but this is bizaar IMHO.

VN-VSIII is very different to VT-VZ which is VERY different to VE?

I think the commodore has changed slowly and consistently, its more like evolution ...not revolution.
And at least after the VT its actually got a bit of metal in the b

quadruple the length from the start to the middle divided by two. beat that one.
but seriously, the commodore has changed so much since the VB. if you put a pic of the VB up against the VE, it would be like comparing an HK with an HQ.

Disagree. VB to VE is more like HB Torana to VN Commodore. A VE is a much stronger and more refined car than a VB. A HK is a heaps better built car than a VB and in many respects is better designed than a HQ eg resistance to body rust. Ask anyone who has Edited by user Thursday, 13 March 2008 4:20:20 PM(UTC)

Each new Holden built is going to be different to the last because of technology and economy, things change always, some for good and some for bad. Im sure most people wuld prefer to have 4 wheel disc brakes, seat belts and airbags compared to hitting you |

Byron is right.
I have done and won many demolition derbys in HK HT HG's.
If you go back over the results (for NSW in the last 20 years) on what type of cars win all the time you would find HK - HG's would be on top. I would say 97% of the time!!!!

Im comparing a VB against a VE, what I am comparing is the overall body shape of VN - VE. Still look very similar in lots of ways, the high boot line and dipped frontal. Still has the same squarish rear end and the frontal treatment is still semi
