Byron was the $16k demo ($10k cash and $6k holiday) the one a Newcastle motor drome? If so I was in a yellow HK sedan (#13). I got 5th or 6th in that one as my tailshaft snaped.

I help a mate that does demo derbys. He gets the crap panels off me to build his cars aswell. I have seen the cars after and they a so strong. He has also run HRs and they seem to be better in the rear but not much room in the front. Cheers.

Yep, that was the one. I was in a blue HG wagon, with hurried black signwriting. It was a 186, 3spd, welded diff, radiator in the back (in a welded in HQ radiator support), Torana 13" rims. Wish I had video of it! It was a shame to drive it back all the w

It's a small world. I think the winner of that derby was Brett Thompson from Sydney. He was a great derby driver in the 90's when they got lots of cars each race. Now we are lucky to get 20 cars at Parramatta!

I do alot NSW derbys as in the bush you ge

ozchevy, i dont understand why you want to change the look of the commodore. Holden are onto a good thing, so why change it? the build quality is the best we have seen from a holden. but i do believe apart from the GTS and the R8, the VZ was a better look

yep, it does look a little bit like an M3. more like an elfin (not the open wheeler, the street car).
