Terry, I was reading in your posts some info on rebuilding p/steering boxes. I have one from a HX and have discovered due to mis adjustment that the top cover (the one that contains the brass bush and the four bolts) has a hairline crack in it. Would you have one of these laying around or know someone who could supply me one as i dont want to go out and source a whole new box. Cheers Trev...

Hi Trev
When we overhaul these boxes we convert to the newer lid that contains a roller bearing & a thick thrust washer. These thrust washers are surface ground to a tolerance fit, to get rid of the clunks & noises that these boxes have. What I am gett |

Yep, point taken Terry. I guess I was looking for an cheap way out or a simple fix. Guess with the amount of money already spent on the whole car and importance of things like A1 steering and brakes etc. there should be no shortcuts. Im going to be up for
