Hi Les, just a quick note. If you make them to the same spec as Holden did and you put them on a car with tramp rods they might rub the rods. Holden made a spacer that was fitted when the car came in for service as they found the tyers rubbed sometimes. I

There are 5 basic different rims:

HK 5";
HK 6";
HT/G 5";
HT/G 6"
HT/HG GTS350 manual rims (slotted and lightweight).

All are interchangeable ie they fit, but HK 6" wont fit a car with radius rods unless wheel spacers are fitted.

I think there was also a so called HT Rally rim that had the centre spotwelded as normal and seam welded in the rear. Cheers.

There are a few variations of the same rim. Some HK 6" rims are spotted and welded as well.

The 6 original 6" HK rims I have are only spot welded. I was told years ago by memory the HT's could have had 4 or 5 slots where the centre is welded to the rim and this could tell you if it was a Rally rim. But I could be wrong. Cheers.

Byron, where are the slots in the GTS350 manual wheels?
I have a set of 6" wheels, spot welded only, solid centres apart from the four gaps around the circumference between the welds that are stamped 6.JJ 14 7/70 HOLDEN 22-2. I wouldnt say they are light

The HT and HG 350 manual wheels look the same as the 350 auto and other 6" HT/G rims except cooling slots are cut like in a HK. I always thought the lightweight thing was a myth too, but I am assured by a guru (1 of two) that he has weighed them against n

It is quite simple. The area around the wheel nuts looks like any LC/HT on Holden wheel, including Commodore.

Then there are 8 oval slots cut into the outer centre.

No other wheel has this combination

The first alloy whel option from hlden was th XU1 sprintmaster, the next being the SL/E.

Dealers could fit anything they wanted. If yor car was fitted with 6 alloys though the dealer would have more than likely ordered the car with 6" rims so that he o
