Hi Guys.

There were basically 4 different diffs in these models, when you exclude the 7" Banjo style.

They were:
1, GM US 10-bolt (8.2") HK/T/HG only - 28-spline
2. GM US 12-bolt HK/T GTS 350 manual option only - 30-spline
3. GM-H 'Large' 10-bol

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

True DR terry. but number 4 i thought was called 8 bolt?
The Geminis, i thought had a long alloy snout to the tail shaft.
I think banjo diff from HJ on got 23 spline, like the SLR 5.0L torana, and maybe the 1975 on torana 6 cyl?

Hi Rosie.

I've never heard the term 8-bolt for the Holden Small Salisbury. GM-H use the terms small & large, but then later call them 178 mm & 190 mm respectively.

The Gemini diff does use 'Torque Tube Drive' but it is still a Holden Small Salisbury

the "8 bolt" is used in the wrecking game over here in the west.
I know, strictly speaking, it has 10 bolts too, but is used to ID the small round sailbury, from the large oval sailsbury.

Whoa... Small Salisbury behind WB 253 ute and van? If this is true then I have learned another Holden fact today! I'm sure though i've pulled large Salisburys from low kM WB Kingswood V8 utes in the early 90's.
Large Salisbury was also standard fitment o
