Boom is right about all else but it is hard to to get a factory VR VS stroker which was the 215kw and 225kw motor

Harrop are better than COME, but quality wise in cast cranks, you can't beat the crankshaft rebuilders cast crank. they are about $1400. 350 or 383. they build a crank to suit you, with you personal specs.

from what i have gathered, the best combo is chev journal/5.7" rod/1.425" pin height pistons, rather than holden rods, and different pistons. If bundy wanted to build a 377/383 chev stroker, he would use the same 5.7" rods, and 1.425" pistons.

what sized rods and crank and pistons are used for a holden 383? looks like im buy a LC now as the guy withthe LH decided to up his price..will most probably stick with the holden engine. will need to be around the 550hp range to be competitive against bo |

5.7" rods 1.26" pin height pistons both chev. does eagle make a nodular 383 crank if so how much??

i have seen a few 400 chevs in toranas is there a reason for this? easy to fit? do they make exctractors of the shelve for them. i heard there is a hastle with the starter motor. |

yeah they are easy to fit. toranas engine bay is cavernous. not so for the commodor :(

A 400 is the exact same physical size as a 265 Chev, just like a 253 and 308 (but with lots in between like 327 and 350).

yes i was looking for chev prices, trying to weigh up the price of HP between the holden and chev. does anyone know if you can buy chev extractors or VN type heads extractors for the LC or will i have to make them? |

byron can answer that for sure, but i know castle auto in vic makes a set for VN heads for around $500 around the same price (after conversion, postage, etc) for these. http://store.summitracin...r&N=700+4294908216+42948
