how different is the spacing between exhaust ports on SBC heads as opposed to holden VN heads? would it be hard to modify the chev headers to line up?

they are just so much cheaper, and a top of the line tuned length header for an SBC wouldn't get you a set of basic ones for Holden heads.

Yes. Unless they are an "Aurora" style head which I think is what the V8 Supercar Chev head is copied from, SBC heads have ports like a Holden V8 head pre Walkinshaw ie siamesed centre ports. The outer ports are heaps further from the centre than a Holden

I think too hard boom.
The chev is 1:2:1 side on, holden is evenly spaced (1:1:1:1) if you like.
you know what i mean!

By the time you bend them, loose their coating in the process, and them yo have to hope that they all line up to the flange evenly.

Old holdens brought on the spot, quick decision, cash paid.

You would have more luck modifying Ford headers as they are 1:1:1:1 just like the late Holden V8's.
