Hey, woundering if anyone can shed some light, i am currently paying $70 to $80 to fill my car up and only getting about 400km out of the tank, i was told that it was proberly my oxy sensor, but not willing to spend $80 on it if it not going to fix the problem, how many km should i be getting out of a tank, the car is a VP commodore, 3.8L with a K&N pod filter as the only mod done to the motor, as i am after a second opinion on this i thought i could only ask. thanks for your time and hope someone can answer my question.

oh yeah does anyone know where i can get a second hand Group A SS front bar for my vp, thanks

What type of driving? Country, freeway, urban, semi-urban.

Because of the fluctuations in petrol price I cant tell how many litres you are putting in your tank. But as a guide a VP in average Sydney traffic would use 14L/100km which is 56 litres for 40

Well id say that its a 60L tank. and ill be doing high way driving, now they say that its good to change the oxy sensor every 80000, i take it by the service books that it never been changed, so is it worth a try.

mate, you just contradicted yourself. you dont want to spend $80 on the oxy sensor, but you now say its worth a try?

First of all, I dont know much about EFI cars.
I think there's an air temperature sensor in the original air filter box, or somewhere near it. The EFI computer adjust mixtures depending on the conditions of the day.

I missed the bit about the pod filter. I saw K & N & thought that you meant a replacement panel filter in the original box.

Throw the pod filter as far as you can or sell it to some dimwit on eBay. They are useless, especially if you want a
