is it possible to ID a YT head when still fitted to a motor? just cause its painted yellow doesn't make it so. anyone know how to tell? cheers

o.k, take the inlet manifold off, and look at the ports, most yt heads have the inlet bosses removed. take a look at a standard one and compare. on standard heads the boss block half of the inlet. also yt heads have a little more porting.

If the head is as boom describes, it can be done by anyone, it does not have to be a Yella Terra head, although the type of work done where the inlet centre cast is removed and a tube is inserted is the same type of work done to the commonly named stage 3 |
