Hi, I have problem with my VL, it lost power so I stopped and turn the motor off to inspect under bonnett, could not see any thing that was loose etc. Now the motor wont crank, all wires are connected and battery is new,(tested fully charged to make sure). Have all other electrics headlights horn etc.

Can any one shed any light what I could look for, Thanks

starter maybe
are there any clicking noises when you turn the key have some-one turn the key and then give the starter a tap
just an idea

Have you tried it in neutral and park? it could be as simple as the gearlever is out of adjustment.

My old VL didn't loose power, but one day i started it and and it just stopped. It was the crank/cam sensor in the dissy. But im sure it would still crank

It turned out that the stater motor completely failed, replaced with reco one, runs perfectly, even the loss of power is not present, dont know why that happened, thankyou to those who helped.
