Gday all, was wandering what sort of pollution gear would be needed to pass a 83 WB with a 83 to 89 chev LT1. I was told any later than this too much hassel to set up, and get parts. Lookin for a 350 to put in the ute but was told its a lot easier to pass if the motor is prior to 89? if anyone could help this would be great.

You just need everything that was on the US sourced car it came from. If you don't already have an engine then I reckon it would be easier to just use a GenIII complete out of a VT onwards. All you need are mounts, sump plus the rest of the accessories yo |

So any motor is usable if you have the factory pollution gear it came with, regardless of Year?

Basically right, but only if the engine is the equivalent level of pollution requirements to your car or later. You cant go backwards.

I have been told putting a carbyd 350 into a WB will be a bit off work as the heads dont have EGR ports, not sure on the accuracy of this, but know that many people have done this convertion before. Any comments, ideas, tips would be great.
