Hi Byron.
The only reason I wrote it that way was so I didn't have go into the Bedford thing.
The date of introduction of the Blue motors is interesting. The Blue motors were originally slated for release in 1979. when the originally planned full W |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Thanks Terry. Do we call Bedfords, C/K trucks etc Holdens? Although they arent, I still reckon they are more Holden than an Epica, Astra, Barina etc. If these are Holdens then so is my 1957 Chev. At least the Chev got Australian paint, leather and carpet |

Holden V8 manifolds are easy. Forgetting the obvious difference between red 253 and 308 and there are 3 basic types:
HT-HJ and LH/early LX - pre pollution (red motor). Water heated manifold, no exhaust crossover. Choke mechanism mounted on the manifold |

Interchangability goes like this:
Early red manifold only goes on early heads (with no EGR); Pollution red manifold only works on pollution red heads. It will bolt onto early red heads but there is little point as its a pig of a manifold; Blue/black |
