what is the optimum size of a trans cooler for stock trimatic and stock 202 and driven every day not hard ? cheers

There is none. You can't really overcool an auto. Just buy one of the square/rectangular ones to suit a V8 or 6cyl, and mount it somewhere in the air stream. Try to avoid mounting it on the radiator itself, but make up some mounts. You can buy them with f |

thanks byron i have several different sizes so i just fit the largest i have its about a foot long x 7 inches i take it the trany will pump through it ok ? cheers

The trans pumps are very strong, unhook one of the trans lines with the engine running and look out!!!
Blank them off and the motor stuggles to turn over!
me thinks they could pump thru an air con radiator.
the optimal temp for an auto trans is 1 |
