Are any after market spares available for the CDX astra gearshift, mine has a broken reverse selector which has ben removed. Unfortunately the risk of going into reverse when stationary is fairly high, makes for a unintentional meeting with a vehicle behind. Holden spares are over $500 which makes a large price for a small component...

hi can you tell me what astra cdx year? hatch/sedan? what motor. or beter yet the vin . so its the gear shift lock? is it the bit in the handle or the bace part ?

Hi Thanks for the reply.
The part that has broken is the brace that wraps around the gearstick but it also has attached to it the piece in the gear handle so essentially the whole piece.
The astra is a TS hatchback 2004 model. the VIN is W0L0AHL485

hi there the rrp is $554.95 and trade is not a lot beter best you can do is try a wreckers holden in geelong have only sold 1 in 15 months so id say a wrecks will be ok as heeps are not braking and most wreckers dont no what there worth. so they will prob
