Hello all, Help is needed here with the wiring of the brake fail light on a hq gts dash. Looks as though the previous owner has made up/adapted this dash loom. I took it in for a blue slip and this is what they got me on. Looks like there is a couple of cut wires below the tacho, that connect up to the on and temp light. Would that have anythimg to do with it ? I earthed out the wire on the proportion valve and the light come on, but not when cranking the motor over to start when it's spose to self test the light. I did this with the handbrake off... any help is appreciated and thanks in advance

Ok the BROWN(IGN) Battery feed goes to the GEN LIGHT then via PINK it gives volts to the OIL/FUEL guages. Then PINK comes out of the OIL/FUEL guage

Thanks Trubluhq,
The whole car is fairly standard, including the points ignition. It must be a std loom and re-wired for the GTS dash as a wire joins the pink from the gen light and goes off to the temp gauge, another wire comes out of th

Hi Anton,

If the vehicle is standard, the green sounds normal, but the relay off the pink under the dash does not. However it could lead to a trailer connection or trailer power maybe.

In simple terms once the IGN is ON before START you should have
