Hi
My name is Jordan and I have a monaro.
HJ LS Coupe
First plate : 6/75 BHJ 24224S
Second Plate : 8P37TEH854851J
Third Plate : 8WP37JR

0000 - 60Y

My car has had its 5.0l / T400 trans replaced with a 4.2L / 4 speed manual. IT needs a full respray and panel work ,it runs ok and is fully registered , interior is very good . I have the original build sheet, and although its a little worse for wear it states the car was a special build. It also states the car was ordered in cortez red with a red vinyle roof. My car is red but it does not have a vinyle roof -just a vinyle sunroof? So in short , i guess I was just wondering if you might be able to tell me a little more..

Cool to know there are still some left around. They are the rarest Monaro Coupe of the lot only 337 made(106, 5 Litre) Mine was a 5L T400. Does the build shet have option C03? if so thn factoy sunshine roof, if not then aftermarket.
If the car had been resprayed at some time it is more tan likely that the oner would remove the vinyl roof, especially a red one as it would have been difficu

Hey
Thanks for the fast responses...the car most definately has been resprayed (poorly I might add) so that really helps to explain the missing vinyl roof -sunroof certainly aftermarket -thankyou very much

Warren just out of curiosity,when was the last build HJ coupe dated on your records?
Was it early 76'?
My HJ GTS Monaro coupe is dated 8/75.

Ben has the updated info on that so could not answer when the last one was built, but there are not many in 76, infact GM-H stopped advertising them.
The HJ LS coupes here, were not LE prototypes, they were just specials. Leo used the combinaton number

According to my data there was approximately 50 HJ coupes built between 02 Feb 1976 and 28 April 1976 (8WQ37 H879855 L31 M21). Jan 76 data not yet collected. The last recorded LS I have is 14 april 1976 (8WP37 879917) L32 M40
