How hot should a diff get?
My LSD in the Tonner gets so hot you cant hold your hand on it. After about 50Ks.
Its got new correct LSD oil and is full.
However the previous owner shimmed it to an inch of its life and its very tight.
I noticed it when I was under the car the other day and touched the diff. Thought it was a bit too hot. Any thoughts.

How close is the exhaust? Just thinking outside the square. If you are concerned get a diff shop to check it out. With a Salisbury it isn't that hard and will cost you labour plus oil and a gasket. That is of course if nothing is wrong. But if it is setup
