Just got contacted by a guy with a pretty rare Sandman ute for sale. It's a Mint Julip HX 308 TH400 XU3, identified by it's 18V trim. Probably not as desirable as a 308 4spd XX7 but rare as rare in that build configuration. It is in need of a full resto and is not all that original driveline wise. So if you want to restore something different that you're not going to throw money away on (eg lowered Hilux!) send me an email and i'll pass on the contact details. I can't really quote you price, but he wants in the order of $3000 for it. It is pretty rusty too from his description.

ah ok. but even still. i think the sandmans are very undervalued at the mo. give it a few years and combo sandmans like this one with the mint paint and black int, 308 at t400 will be a big colectors item! |

I agree. But there are some "idiots" (probably the wrong word but will do) out there that will undervalue it because it's an XU3 and an auto. To me as a ute and an auto it's the best combo - no broken aussie 4spds to be concerned with and no van roof to r |
