A few years ago now (when you could by a monaro reged and rwc for under 15 grand!!) I bought and sold (well to my mates anyway) a few monaros. Some were worth selling and the rest were pulled apart and sold off as parts. I kept the tags off the monaros I pulled apart and I have noticed alot of disussion recently about whether a person should sell tags. It seems to be a cloudy area the tags are not compliance mearly Body Id and build number info. I kept them because I wanted something to hold onto to say yeah I owned a GTS once here is the proof!!!. I would never sell them as "make that base model a real GTS with these tags" scheme but how do I turn away someone who is genuinely keen to own a piece of history. Who am I to make a pass judgement on poeple who seem genuine.

i dont have any problem with anyone selling tags... my problem is that the person buying them will use them to add value to a vehicle.... the only way they can add value is to rivet them onto a car that is of a lower spec... ie trying to turn a base into

Yeah, but what if you have an original GTS327 body, or a HT 308 manual body with no tags? Especially a factory replacement body? Is it fraud to put them on that body? I don't like seeing people get scammed, BUT the onus is on the buyer too. Same as when y |

if you have an original 327 body or a HT 308 body as you say.... what use are tags to you.... the only answer is to make the car worth more than it really is... no other reason....

Why is a body shell not a spare part?? I can replace a guard. That is OK. I can replace a 1/4 panel, that is OK too. Picture this, I roll the 327 over a hill and end for end it too. I replace the roof, front guards, bonnet, Y frames, doors, 1/4 panels

jim here....i have sandman tags in my lounge room because the car is out the back!!shouldnt take them off?,,someone else will for me!!if your buying a big dollar numbers car ,check check or dont buy,ps replace bodys if you need to...they think nothing of |
