I also believe that tags are just another part.
If you have a body which is stuffed, I don't see anything wrong with putting those tags on another body. After all, if there was say 300 GTS's there still are 300 GTS's.

Agreed MR HQute.
I agree that there is a difference nbetween having the real car and replacing the rooted bits including the shell, as compared to creating a new ie fake car.

Why on earth would anyone need photos of tags to make fake ones? Unfortunately its not that hard to make up enough numbers to make yourself a unique HK GTS327 or HT GTS350 or HQ GTS350 coupe or whatever, and that is without using numbers off any existing

Probably. But how many of these do you think would get used and not have the original car's VIN plate attached. AFAIK the plates are just rivetted on and the windscreen covers the rivets.

I have read this throught now I ask for specific advice. I owned some time ago a HZ GTS. The shell was rotted badly and wrecked by me. Since I am still in posession of all tags, engine/gearbox, interior, gaurds, dash and wheels, is the general consensus t

As long as nothing is misrepresented it should be fine, if its sold as a GTS with all matching numbers then this is obviously fraud as the body doesnt belong to the tags.

So by that token, a replacement body shell ex holden would need to have been ordered "as a gts" rather than a generic hz shell.

Or is the real issue that the replacement shell started life as another car eg. kingy then used to create a gts.
