I brought a HK GTS Monaro last year with what I was told to be an original engine. I have had a few blokes around and they confirmed the numbers under the radiator support, steering box etc.
What Im looking for is more history on this car. Its a Sydney build 186s. Would any of the Sydney dealerships still hold sale records etc from back that far?
The guy I brought the car off told me the engine number was matched and confirmed by Queensland transport. Im yet to confirm this.
Would the RTA (NSW) still hold any records of production/sale/registration??
I can send all my numbers to anyone who can help.

None of these records will still exist unless you are very lucky with an older dealership. All you can tell nowadayd is that the engine DOESN't belong to the car and that is via the Monaro Register.
