ok, i have an XA sedan, standard width falcon 500 wheels (6 or 7 inch i think)

i just got a set of 14 x 8 inch 12 slotters.

dad reckons i can put 10 inch wide tyres all round but im not sure if this is legal in VIC..

so my question is - Can i as a P PLATER legally have ten inch wide tyres on my car??

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!

For starters you don't want 10 inch wide rubber on the front of the XA.
Your wheel alignment will be getting knocked out all the time and the tyres will foul and catch the guard lips. Another thing is have you tried to price 14x10 tyres? doubt it bec

I agree with Paul, 14 x 8 12 slotters all round still looks good and you will not achieve anything going wider, especially on the front. That was the good old days, when it was all I could afford too. Like Paul states, tyres are too hard too come by and t

Bridgestone still have some 14" Eagers available, $220 for 235/60-14 and $250 for 245/60-14. These are probably the last of the old school muscle tyres we'll see in Oz. They will look great on your 8" slotters.

Bridgestone don't have many Eagers left. The factory in japan that makes them burnt to the ground last year so that spelt the end of them.

More a drag tyre than a road tyre. Yokahama still make a wide tyre in the 14 inch. Contact Bob Jane for price and availability as there is a long wait between shipments and I'm not sure how much longer they will be producing them. Price is probably a b
