hi, just want some input before i make the big decision for my ute
now i've heard all the arguements about lighter holden weight, cheaper chev parts, transmission choices, different driveshaft, gearbox mount, ease of fitting etc
but am i missing anything ?
or is it just a personal choice thing
ps a friend and i fitted a 350 into an hz ute with a turbo 400 in the late '80s. it took us about 18 hours solid drive in drive out, but a couple of the things had to be re-done: exhaust hookup etc
and i'm not sure i'd have the patience to do it again
yes sonny, it's an HQ ute |

Yes it's a personal choice. I would Chev it every time.
Seems like different states have different rules as well. Some people take the emmisions rules too seriously.
I have nothing against Holden V8's but if i could fi

also, it depends on how much power you want to make. e.g. 300hp you wont need to go chev as it will cost the same either way. if not cheaper for holdens.

CHEV.
(Its only a hard choice for the emmisions nazis if they own a HZ or WB)

the reason to stroke it would be because you want more low down torque. It would be so much easier to pull the engine out, because if you want to do it properly you have to take many many measurements to make sure the engine doesn't lunch itself.
