hey guys

umm just wondering.. im looking at getting a supercharger kit for my vs statesman v8..

to be honest dont know what im looking at
so wondering if anyone could recomend anything?

a vortech kit wouldget it moving nicely. there's a VS 304 with an STA supercharger (similar to the vortech V2 'SQ trim') that made 303rwkw on the stock motor.
If you dont want to foot the $7000 bill from CAPA for EVERYTHING except the exhaust you can get

anyone in victoria running a 186 supercharged? thinking of doing a build n wanna see what combos are proven to be reliable. ive seen photos on the net of a vk injection being used? would i loose power if i ran it gas? do i need engineerin approval for the

there is a GRA throttlebody, SC14 blown (one of those crappy toyota blowers you get for $350), 186 torana in victoria running low 13s. on 12psi.

you should bump up the compression to 9.3. anything under 15psi will be fine, and being on gas you will be even better off. will make ****loads more power, and probably run better than the 202 i mentioned above, even in an EH. how much boost are you runni

you should, but then again you shoudl have just left the motor stock, do you really NEED a supercharger?why not bump up the boost then???

sounds like a clean setup to me i like it, can i ask tho every holden six with a supercharger has had the thing on the opposite side. is it ya one off manifold? ive been told from the blokes at work putting it on gas would drop significant power and a sup

tell the blokes at work that they are fools. the engine will benefit from the higher octane, and if using a gra setup you wont lose as much power. (very minimal loss). Yes the 350 is a better motor, but what car have you got. the supercharger conversion w

im putting a hr pano together, the conversion plus the motor would be my total rebuild amount. thats not to say it wouldnt be awesome to drive. i have been playing around with the idea of going for a v6 or chev but at the holden hd hr day in melbourne i g

grab an M90 off a supercharged V6. they go on ebay for around $500, and fab up a manifold, or modify an existing one to allow fitment. will go really well.
