I bought a brand new Holden Rodeo 2008 model from Central Coast Holden on the 10/3/08. Only 2 days after picking the vehicle up I had to return it to have a new clutch and rear engine seal replaced.

Then about three weeks later I was driving to Queensland for a trip to fraser island when the clutch started slipping again, this time I was in the process of overtaking a truck when it slipped so bad I could not accelerate past, because the lane came to an end the truck actually had to run off the road to let me drop back as a result my car was sprayed with stones and received considerable stone damage. Once I got to Ballina I rang Central Coast Holden to let them know what had happened, they told me to take the vehicle to the nearest Holden dealer.

On the 15/4/08 I took it to Maryborough Holden who took the gearbox out to inspect the problem before organising me a replacement vehicle and told me it will take 3 days for parts to arrive. It took 4 hours to convince them that they had to supply me a vehicle under the warranty obligations which they were not going to do. They told me they found a hole in the rear of the engine that oil was leaking from. They told me they plugged the hole and replaced the clutch again.

Once I got my car back the day I was supposed to return home I found the clutch was still slipping. I rang holden and told them and they told me to take it back to the dealer in maryborough but I was already heading back to Gosford so I took it back to Central Coast Holden once I had returned home.23/4/08 They told me there was a problem with the clutch slave cylinder and that the part would take 3 days to come in, also they told me the input shaft seal in the gearbox was leaking and had to be replaced.

I was contacted 7 days later on the 29/4/08 and told it will take another week before the part would arrive which would be the 5/5/08. Holden rang me on the 5/5/08 and told me the part will now be arriving in a week and a half or there abouts so I am guessing this means around the 14th or 15 of May.

I delivered a copy of this letter to Central coast holden on the 5/5/08 and told them I will distribute it around the central coast if my car is not fixed sooner. I was rang the next day and told my car was fixed and ready to pick up, but driving it for only an hour I noticed that it was actually worse than it had ever been. I rang Holden customer assistance and explained this to them and they told me to keep driving it til they ring me back despite my concerns of the clutch burning out. I had to ring them back as I had no reply for 24 hours, I was told that I would be contacted with details to have my car problems rectified but as yet I have heard nothing.

Despite Body damage as a direct result of a faulty clutch, and the fact my holiday was ruined which was supposed to be a 4WDing holiday which never happened, and the activities I have had to cancel for the past 3 weeks because I needed my ute to carry bikes and tools, Holden assures me they are not in any way financially liable for any of my out of pocket expenses or damage as a direct result of selling me a faulty vehicle.

I feel Holden should replace my car with a new one free of charge due to the problems and inconvenience this one has caused for all my financial losses, heartache and worry.
