Any one got a opinion on what you think, as to the pros's and cons of all of the Holden 6 Cly motors. I remember the EFI 3.3l was impressive when it came out. The VL 3.0L was impressive motor to, but lacked low RPM torque. and the turbo was great. The VN V6 was a shocking exposition. after the VL 3.0L The ecotec V6 was good. The new 3.6L ?

The old grey motor was a good unit and quite fast in its day compared to what was driving on our roads, they still remain a good unit, there`s an old school rail drag car in birdwood museum with a grey taken out to 155 cubes with fuel injection it ran 11

the eh with a 149 would be the most reliable of the lot. could not kill it. cooked it 3 times bad. just add water and away it went no problem. try that in a new car.

there are turbo 202s running 9s. 8s with buick V6s. Nissan RB30s are getting closer to the 7 second zone. all have their pros and cons.
In cubes we trust.

I was always of the impression that the first injected 202's were notorious for gremlins? Guess that's not a slander on the motor as much as it is the ancilliary systems. |

Grey: nice easy lazy motor, good fuel economy, not very powerful, but would run at 100km/h all day. Bad ponts, not very reliable by todays standard, only good for 100000km (they actually advertised that they were good for 60000 miles before you needed to

depends if you are talking n/a or fi. because the rb30 will win if its fi because of the huge aftermarket, but the V6 either buick or ecotec will win n/a. having said that id love to build a methanol turbo stroker ecotec motor and run it in a torrie.
