There is no doubt its not an M21, and Im fully aware that most of the Aussie 4spd XU-1s are recorded as having an M20. What I was getting at is the box isnt an aussie 4spd M20 - it is an XU-1 ratio set, but no change is made to the records to show that it |

Hi Byron. I think that P.O. numbers are really only for sales & marketing. On the line they used broadcast codes, so the P.O. number wouldnt have mattered. Do we know how many (if any) XU-1s or L34s left the factory fitted with the alternative (rare Edited by user Thursday, 15 May 2008 9:15:06 PM(UTC)

According to persons who have studied the build records, all L34 had M21 but I have spoken to people who bought these new then blown the box. Some have had the L34 input and cluster and others just an M21. I think also that all XU-1 had the XU-1 box and t |

Thanks again guys you are a wealth of information for sure. I was thinking along the lines of what Warren said about Holden recording them as a basic specification V8 Belmont sdn as well, but it is good to see someone else saying that too. Holden gave

Not sure about Perth. But the L33 bit gives more credence in my opinion to Holden stuffing it up. People rely upon these "build confirmation" letters as gospel, but they are just paper written by someone who may not even recognise a HQ if it ran them ove |

Hi Byron I have just sent a email to you at the address at your web site hopefully that is still a valid address. When talking to Holden they basically said to me that they have no real idea or info on these cars and it looks like I may have more source

I've found it not uncommon that the month on the ADR tag is different to the build month recorded on the microfiche.
