After being in a big prang in a modern car (opposing driver turned right without looking & I smacked him angled-head on, luckily only at 70km/h in an 80 zone) Id much rather the airbags & crumple zone in a FRONTAL accident, but Id prefer the solid chassis
Cheers,

Mick

Someone correct me if im wrong but im sure the HQ sedan was voted as the best car with the least blind spots for seeing, in Australia or even the world. Very narrow "A" pillars with large door and rear windows.

one of the best safety devices you can have is good vision how many times have you heard the joker in the wrong, say I didnt see you !

HQ petrol cap in the middle just pull into the empty spot, cause you can fill up from either side.

The vision in an HQ is awesome. I went from driving an Alfa 33 (which if you dont know, is about the size of a small pea) straight into what i always wanted, an HQ. In this case, Kingswood sedan. Its HUGE, has a clunky column shift manual, cable clutch, a

You don't need a reversing camera to see a 12 year old behind a HQ..... you can just about see a toddler thanks to the sloping boot line.
Cars these days can almost hide a teenager walking behind them.

Anyone seen how wide the massive A-pillars are on
Cheers,

Mick

I drove my BILs VE company car one night and I had to move my head from side to side to see past the A pillar, my wifes VX is a little better, the VH is good but as said above my old HQ Prem was excellent.

The A pillar on the HQ was designed to allow vision past it. If you cannot see it with one eye you can see it with the other. Not like the current model car I am driving, it has air bags in the A pillar making it hard to see approaching vehicles in rounda
