We want a complete pre 1975 253 Holden engine and trimatic gearbox in good usable condition.
What kind of money would we need to purchase such a package and does any one know where we could source these items.

$300 private up to $800 wreckers. If you are looking for a trimatic consider buying the box separate out of a VL 5.0L. Only external difference is the LH side shift.

byron you say to try and get a vl timatic for the 253 would it not be better to go for one of the beefed up trimatics with the change on the right side if the budget could stand it of course cheers
