I have an original LX SL L32 (253) M40 (Trimatic) GU7 Hatch in Persian Sand and orange interior. I am the the second owner and I have all of the books. The car was rustproofed at new and is 100% original and has no rust.

I purchased it, from the original owner, in 2004 on the premise that I would eventually do it up to look like a Black A9X.

Although this seemed like a great idea at the time and perfectly feasiable, a number of people who have sighted the car have strongly recommended against any alterations.

Need some advice on how to proceed. Love the A9X Hatch and it would not take much to do the upgrade, however once the flares are on there is no turning back!

Please advise

Stick to computers. Leave the car original. They look sweet as they are.

Personally i think it's your car so do as you wish but do it properly.
If your going to build it then soon enough sell it off for a new project then leave it original. the new owner will be happier and so will you as it'd be worth way more in original gu
