whats the differents between a 10 bolt diff and a salisbury ? or they one in the same atb

Basically the same, but there are a few different 10-bolts. The HK-HG one is a US made Chev unit. The HQ-WB V8 (and VB-VK and A9X) large Salisbury and UC/VB-VH/WB small salisbury are Holden made 10-bolts.

it refers to the style of design of the diff.

eg: a ford 9" is a Banjo style of diff.
