Experienced welsh plug leaks at 105000Km and again at 160000Km. It appears to be the exhaust pipe side that is the main problem area. Ford South Africa maintain it is the the incorrect coolant used. Vehicle serviced by Ford Dealer.Has the same problem occurred in Australia.Does anybody have a solution, other than sell the car.

Additional information is that this problem has occurred on other Falcons. The coolant referred to by Ford SA is the anti-freeze. Quote"due to incorrect coolant concentration or lack of coolant. Cover themselves both ways. Would appreciate Ford Australia's Customer Service e-mail address - Ford SA reluctant to supply this information

I've not heard of it happening here. Just because a Ford Dealer serviced the car doesn't mean to say it was serviced right. If you can show proof that the vehicle has only ever been serviced by Ford and that you haven't ever topped the radiator up with

Yeah, I have replaced alot of core plugs down the exhaust side on EA-EL falcons, more so EA-ED but probably coz they are older.
I do not know if genuine Ford coolant is of great quality or there components are of sub-standard quality (thermostat housings
