I found out today some of the modern cars
have light bulbs know as led lights, I looked them
up on utube and they look great for a strong glow,
are these bulbs available in Australia to replace
the existing 12 volt bulbs in pre 1980 cars.

Thinking about putting "plug in" LEDs into my VX dash, any info on brands to buy etc would be appreciated.

Thanks, Frank.

If you put them in your blinkers, you need to change the flasher can to an LED friendly one, as the current draw is tiny compared to a bulb, meaning the traditional flasher can will either flash really really fast, or simply not at all.
