Thought that you find this interesting. (amusing).

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/w...Name=ADME:X:RTQ:AU:1123

I asked the seller before he put up the tag detials for the tag details because im looking for a hz sandman project for my old man.

When i got them i replied it can not be a sandman because it is a 6cyl. he told me i dont know what im on about.

interesting also. he said that byron you site is WRONG. damn that sux you wasted all that time researching lol. because this bloke knows.

wonder how many other people have told him its not a sandman?

i was very polite the first time i said it wasnt a sandman. i said that i hate to inform you etc etc and sugested that he should prehaps change the listing to state is as a sandman replicar or something. not a genuine sandman. i was quickly told to go look at the sandman owners website and also the gmh website.

what ya think? maybe he owns the most rare sandman of all lol.

Cheers
Jason

No such thing as a 6cyl HZ Sandman. Full stop. I have a copy of the HZ features manual, HZ sales brochure and have seen the HZ ordering procedure. All are very clear that the standard engine is a 253 and only option is a 308. Plus I doubt it's a mis-stamp

He has done the right thing and added to the description that it is in fact a replica.

Well lets pull this to bits-
No front air spoiler/dam or cut outs for disc venting
Wrong mirrors
wrong steering wheel centre cap
Wrong wipper motor
Wrong front bumper (rubber strip)
Looks like its a kingwood option with GTS dash and GTS rims, or add

seat cap well i dont doubt its 2. i havent seen tag pics tho. no reason why you wouldnt be able to get buckets with a 6cyl.

crowe. its a WM80 so its a belmont not a kinga. good start for a sandman but eng gives it away...

The rubber bumper strip was standard on both the HX and HZ GTS but not the HX or HZ Sandman. It was available on both the HX and HZ Sandman as an optional extra.

I don't believe any HZ Sandmans were factory fitted with GTS guards. I believe it is just
