Anyone own a VL Brock without the original engine?

Here's the next best thing:

Mick might correct me, but an N5J prefix is a GMP&A factory short motor for any VL 304 except Walkinshaw? You'd probably buy the lot, keep the engine and sell the rest for what you paid for it.

N5J is a VL V8 spare parts prefix, yes. It will suit any VL, except the 500 HDT Group Aa, and the 750 Walkinshaws, as those 2 models had unique prefixes.

Just looking at the auction, the actual sequential number fits in around mid 1990, so it was issued during VN production.

Mick

Do you have the prefix for the GMP&A short motor for the HDT Group A? Is it just N5W?

Yes it is Byron, and N5P for the Walky.
