Yes it is insured, but of course insurance companies continue to reject the true value of the car. Next time I will be more hardnosed when dealing with insurers over agreed value. All my payout will do is buy something to start all over again. How much va

All, In regard to the subject of insuring an Australian Muscle Car (with any company), do you need to supply full body ID details (not just those that are used for registration)? My question is in regard to the fact that a GT is a GT is a GT. With Monaros

I would suggest it could be in your best interests to let them know for 2 reasons. 1 If it is a genuine car it should be worth more, therefore they should insure it accordingly, no question. 2 If is not a genuine car but insured as one & they find out aft

For me its not about the insured value.
Replacement value is completly different to agreed value.
Try finding a suitiable project car to rebuild another one for the cash you get back in insurance. Aint go'n to happen.

I "shudder" at the thought of insurance when the time comes. Any half decent (and affordable) policy that ive heard of seem to be bogged down with a limited kilometers clause of like 2000 kays per year :-(

hqgts, Thanks very much for your input. It was the staff in the Brisbane office who made the claim. I found it hard to believe, but again you never know.
