can you have an engine with turbo, on gas?
and if so, does it have to be injected, or can it be via carby?
eg pressurize the intake, and run on gas?

You want to use the turbo as a compressor? Unfortually the shaft speed is very low when backing off and braking....turbos are driven off heat from expanding gases...ie when you are excellerating.

If you want to store the air you need either a big tank

You could of put a V6 in instead of your V8...but yourve already got it.
