Much more than 500. U in VIN and L30 on BODY plate is only for later cars. Earlier ones are much harder to pick.

Was the 350 available on the Statesman Custom or just on the DeVille?

Sydney used about 3000 350 engines. Adelaide at least 500. Melbourne 1000

ABout 800 of these were used in Monaro the rest Statesman, making about 3700

Also, the model on the Body plate should be 81469QR and the VIN should start with 8S69U.

I reckon that in the 70s/80s/90s they wouldnt have been very sought after, and used as donors for Monaros, so thered probably only be a couple of hundred left.

Again, that is only for the later examples. Earlier HQ used different VIN. Plus from memory the 350 was available on the V8 Statesman as well (BODY 81669).

Heaps of Monaros, Statesman and Sandmans were wrecked in the 80s for use on 1-tonners which ofte

3700 out of a production run of 14-15000 seems too high a % even including export vehicles

Would hate to even speculate on that, as I once worked with a fellow that loved Statesmans (1984). Every couple of weeks he would have a new one, buying and selling them that regularly. At one stage he had a 202 T bar then the next week he had a 308 colum

Hi Guys.

Ill second what Warren has said, a lot of Statesman Customs with 202s & 253s. These cars are just not around any more, many were used as Hire cars & funeral cars. Like taxis, the higher milage cars are now compost.

Ill will speculate though
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
