got a heap of hz'ish electric window motors i want to test. how do i?

i tried the old fuse in both pos and neg. and connecting to battery. tried 5amp fuses and blew straight away. tried 10amp and same thing. maybe not big enough fuse?

dunno/?

ah its ok think i have it sorted. done a search...

both wires going into the motor are positive. it earths through the door. which makes sence. positive to one makes go up. positive to other makes it go down. this is why the switch is spring retu

yep..thats it for holden anyway,ford and jap are usually different.

Commodore are also like Jap & Ford - where you need to reverse the 2 wires, and there is no earthing through the body of the motor.
