Has anyone ever successfully fitted a 6 volt horn to a 12 volt system before, I recently purchased a 6 volt 1937 Ford trumpet horn and dog its load you can hear it a mile away. What should I ask for to connect this baby up. Update 18.06.08 - An old timer told me to wire in a 12 volt bulb just before the horn to lessen the current to the horn. Edited by user Wednesday, 18 June 2008 11:27:11 AM(UTC)

I'm also now told a 12 volt to 6 volt resistor will do the job, I'll check it out tomorrow at the auto electrics.
