hey yall, I want to put an extra battery in le camper, so that it only charges when i am driving, and dose not run starting batteries down,,how do i connect it to system? thanks already bcb

Search a few 4x4 and also caravan websites. They have gear for this application.

What you need is a "Battery Isolator" - it's a device that keeps the batteries seperated (electrically) from each other, but allows them to charge off the same alternator.
It will charge the primary battery first, and when it's OK, it will then charge |

How savvy are you with electronics? You can make a basic isolator using two or three diodes (depending on your alternator), this will cost you less than $1.00. Or you could do what stupid me did and get exactly the same thing from Jaycar but 100 t

thanks blulight, i know a little bit bout electronics, but find it i am betterer doing things i can do, and try to keep away from things i am not 100% sure of? one day will get time to delve more into lectronics, i will probably just put the other bat |
