My wife's EB Fairmont has broken its odometer, speedo still works.

Do i legally have to get it repaired given that the speedo works??

many thanks

Yes "legally" you have to get it fixed. When i still had my ED the same thing happended. Apparently its a common problen, a gear in there somewhere strips out. Just take the instrument cluster to an auto sparky, they'll send it away to be fixed, bout $

trouble with sending the instrument cluster away is that it can take up to a week to return........... that means wife cannot drive the car

what is second hand cluster worth???

thanks for your input

OK legally you have to get it fixed. However who is going to know it's broken? Just fix the thing when you go to sell or trade the car in. It's not like the car is a danger on the road with it broken.
