Aquajets were available in the late 60`s and white walls have been around a great deal longer, red band tyres were featured in the advert for the HK GTS and brochure.These were standard on the 327 in the brochure its listed as D70x14 (premium H) special h

My 327 came from the factory with white walls, I still have the original spare brand new.

white could be ordered i guess not everybody would have liked red walls , or just black ,there will all ways be different ordered cars to what the brochure shows.

White band came out about the same time as the red band but white walls were around long before that. They were a seperate piece glued onto the tyre. You are right cloudy they did come out in the late 60s but were crossply tyres not radials.

All, The HT series (like the HK, HG and HQ) was available with a bewildering range of tyre options. You could get virtually anything you wanted - even to the point of specifying certain brands of tyre (eg. Uniroyal). The red and white bands were options w
