youall,,
uumm? how much hp, kw,,does it take to keep a vehikle once up to say 100klmph,, moving along, in an orderly fashion?
i know it will vary. for many factors, eg, weight wind drag, hills, etc,
i just wondering, for about a 1500kilo car, on flat, and a skinny driver.

Its more about keeping up with other traffic nowdays,
my Morris Minor probably had 30kw
your 308 probably puts 95kw at back wheel and i wouldn't want to go much lower than that.Your van would be more than 1500kg...?

Hi Bear,

Have a look on fleabay for a "GTECH" The first version (which I have) has the facility to show the "horsepower" the vehicle is using at any particular time. You can get one for under a hundred bucks no worries.

Then just find an equivalent

A much smarter man than me could factor frontal area, coefficient of drag, weight etc and get pretty close to an exact theoretical number.
