All, In the latest issue on p.14 is a great shot of Holdens and Toranas on the Elizabeth line. However the date must be wrong as the V8 Premier has the Body ID plate in the centre of the firewall. Given the number of commercials in the shot, I would say it is more than likely a pre-Monaro timeframe (1968). Another thing that puzzles me is in the text. A claim is made that the Elizabeth plant produced "bodies to 'body in white' stage for shipment to GMH assembly plants throughout Australia". Can anyone clear up this statement as surely the bodies were fully painted and hard trimmed prior to shipment (the ID plate was fitted to a painted/trimmed body). I have a classic colour shot of a painted/trimmed HK GTS being moved by a forklift outside the Elizabeth plant.
Keen to learn more about the only remaining Holden plant.

You are good shifty! I make it about March-April 1968 as all the cars in the photo are in early HK colours. You can see Grecian, Mako, Grecian over Inca, Grecian over Eden, Grecian over Mayan, Grecian over Hacienda and way in the distance a Pyrmont Green
