Noticed a post from Brian H regarding a Waggot headed grey with Amals (6) on it. Any chance of seeing that Wheels article you refer to.?
We are currently preparing to run 3 x Amal GP on our race car (red one in image). Can anyone help in some tuning tips for race engines. Our current spec is 3.25" bore, hi top pistons, larger valves and 1.75" SU. Top speed (6500rpm = 125mph)

Excuse my ignorance but what's an Amal? I assume they are carbies?
Are you running just one 1.75 S.U?

Thanks Casper, Amal is a english motor bike carby manufactuer. GP style is the racing model, circa 1960's. Unlike some other carbies, SU included, the amal GP model uses a cable and slide that is pulled up on opening throttle, no butterfly-or-shaft to int

Leith contacted me today and said your were interested in that old Wheels article. I am fairly sure it was in one of two 1957 editions that I have. It featured a coverage of Jaguars win at Le Mans as well as the twin cam Waggot. I will have to
