finanlly got the problem sorted.checked the fuel system and noticed the internal fuel pump wasnt working. pulled it out and solded one of the wires which was loose, connected a battery charger to it,put it in a bucket with fuel and tested how much fuel it was pumping. 3 to 4 litres in 30 seconds.put it back in and checked it with the external pump and it was spot on. 1 letre in 30 seconds.the only problem the car is having is it wont go into 4th. gets to 190 no problems in 3rd but wont go into overdrive. whats the go?

Hi Guys.

The auto in the VL is a 4-speed, but as meecar has suggested the overdrive gear is selected electrically, not by the shift lever.

The power on/off button changes the shift timing & when it's in 'power on' mode it won't go into 4th gear.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

With the amount of money you guys would have spent on racetrack hire fees to do your 190km/h 'tests' you should have been able to afford 20 new transmissions.
