Okay so i've got a 308 block that i've had for a while problem is at some stage the block has been decked/ numbers ground off and not re stamped and are only partially visible was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction regarding the process of getting the numbers recovered and or getting police numbers and getting the block re-stamped??

If you wave an oxy over the number pad, the original numbers will appear like magic. This should assist in determining the number for whatever purpose you require.
