a mate of mine is restoring a windowless FE panno. going with HQdisks up front.
What is the best booster to run? not real keen on external VH40 or VH44, more looking to adapt LH torana one or VC commodore style. We have a V8 HT / XU1 style one, but it is too big to run with the 308 in there as well.
any suggestions?

VT maybe? only issue with a vt setup is maybe the disc rear not drum.... good thing about them though is they are small.....
maybe a dual diafram one from a hz or a wb stato disc rear one. the master will have to be a drum rear one obviously. so ge |

Yeah, i May have to look for other makes / models altogether. the main reason we aren't going with HQ / WB is the diameter is too big, and will hit the rocker cover on the 308. not much room in der FE! i think the VC comm may be ok, and commonly drum r |

VB-VC drum rear boosters are quite small, single diaphragm units. The dual diaphragm disc-rear units are much larger (deeper) and will possibly cause similar issues, but the diameter is around the same. Stick to VB/VC, as in VH they started fitting th |

I have helped fitting a VC/H unit to an FC, no problems at all. It is running HR disc front, drum rear.

try an XB falcon type, good for all type of conversions
